X-Sell 2.4 adds a rogue " to the page

I have installed the X-Sell contrib. and when it is running a mysterious " appears on the page.

 

My site isn't live yet (barely even functional) but an example can be seen here:

Tried viewing the page with the amends I made to the design output of the Mod, and also using just the original code. As always the first thing that appears after the <!-- xsell_products //--> is a single "

 

Any ideas? Been through the install instructions multiple times, checked everything I pasted in but all seems correct.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
