can I please get some help in removing the message that appears at the very top of the front screen with the coloured background, advising the security settings need to be changed.

If your talking about the messages to remove the install directory then remove it, if it's the one to change the permissions to the includes/configure.php then via ftp or your hosts control panel change the file permissions to 644 or 444 (read only).

Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.

Hey Bob,

Thanks for the help. This may sound silly, but how do I change the file permission. Where do I make the change and what needs to be added into the file. I am very new at this stuff
