Cannot get Paypal (UK) to work

Recommended Posts

Hi...

I am absolutely brand new to osCommerce so please bear with me.

I have my site pretty well set up (test site) and I now need to setup the payments via paypal.

I have a paypal business account.

I have installed the paypal UK modules.

When I test the payments and click on PayPal Expess button, or the standard payment method, I get an error message:

Error: Payment module configuration error. Please verify the login credentials.

I have tried adding my email login and password in the module and I have tried without any login or password and get the same error.

Can anybody advise me how I should make it work,

Thanks,

John C

Try Paypal standard unless You want Paypal pro.

This paypal std code is there in RC2.

Are you using the correct API details for PayPal?

Nic

I don't know what API details for PayPal means.

I have now removed previously installed PayPal modules and installed PayPal Website Payments Standard

This does seem to go to the PayPal site, but I get an error message:

This recipient does not accept payments denominated in USD. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency.

I have my location set to United Kingdom

I have Localization set to:

Title: UK Pound

Code: UK (If I set it to GB all my monetory values are 0 )

Any ideas how to fix this ???

Thanks,

John C

Make sure UK and US APIs are different.

Set Your default currency to GBP.

Do you have the £ in your currencies?

code is GBP if you do, set it as default and update currencies.

If you want to use PayPal express you need to get an API username, password and token from them. Log in then go to profile and request API credentials. you need a premier or business account with PayPal first.

Thanks for your very quick reply...

I do have the £ in currencies. I then ticked the 'make default' box and then updated successfully.

I still have 0 monetary values throughout.

I am happy to stick with PayPal Website Payments Standard until I get this working.

I may then look to get PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) Express working.

Thanks for all the help and advise.

I have now found the answer to the monetary values beig 0 from another thread.

I will now try and get PayPal express working.

Can anybody tell me what 'sandbox' is and what it's for.

Thanks,

Thanks everybody for your invaluable help...

I will now setup PayPal Express.

I don't know how to go about it yet. Maybe somebody can tell me.

How do I get an API username, password and token from them ???

Then I would like to setup Google payment as an alternative.

Is the a module for this ???

Thanks,
