Product Info page title

Recommended Posts

Hi, does anyone now how to change product_info.php page title to product name?

This is the default : <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title>

how do i change it so it shows the specific product brand and title ie, so every different product_info page has their own unique page title automatically.

Thanks

Try this addon + give you additional meta tags per item :)

I have install the add on, but all pages appear to have default meta tag, The product info page does not show product title and decription.

I think i mess up the SQL database on categories and product description.

My catalog under admin page has nothing now.

SQL Updates:

ALTER TABLE `products_description` ADD `products_keywords` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

ALTER TABLE `products_description` ADD `products_metadescription` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

ALTER TABLE `products_description` ADD `products_pagetitle` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

ALTER TABLE `categories` ADD `categories_keywords` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

ALTER TABLE `categories` ADD `categories_metadescription` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

ALTER TABLE `categories` ADD `categories_pagetitle` TEXT DEFAULT NULL ;

Frankly, im not familar with sql. How do I do that part. can any 1 show me syep by step ? :(

Thanks

Do you have a database backup so you can go back.

Perhaps you did the wrong thing in phpmyadmin? Did you read the instructions?

You could create a setup file and add the query with php, edit some file to add :

tep_db_query("ALTER TABLE `products_description` ADD `products_keywords` TEXT DEFAULT NULL") ;

etc, only run once though.

For backups:

No, i dont have backup but its ok, i can reinstall everything again. My store has little modification but not yet running. I just want to get everything right before i expose it to public.

I want to get this add on running. Is the meta description and keywords tag managed from admin panel?

1) Go to your ISPs admin area for your site.

2) Click on the icon for Mysql, then find the link for phpmyadmin, it might be hidden away at the bottom but not on all admin sites. If you can’t find this, please consult your ISP's help desk.

3) In some cases, you may have to choose which database your OSC tables are located on. If this is the case, please choose using the dropdown box.

4) Click on "SQL" on the navigation bar.

5) Enter/paste your SQL in the textbox provided or, if you have a file containing the sql commands, click on Import and follow the on screen prompts.

6) For both methods click "Go"..

7) If all goes well, your SQL query will run successfully

:( I have tried to install the add on

Custom META Tags per Item v1.0

for Oscommerce 2.2 MS2

by Randelia

I follow the instructions carefully. I cant get it to work. Every page shows the default meta title, description, and keywords.

including The product_info page.

Does anyone know where the problem is? is there any other add on beside this one?
