What's the best way to define sizes

I am selling clothes that come in many sizes. For instance a pair of pants come is sizes 28 to 50, how to I enter each of these sizes, do I have to add an

Option = size

then individually add option Values of 28 - 50

Then add each of the option values 28 - 50 to each product that I am selling

That seems a horendus way - is there a better suggestion please.

TIA

As far as I know the only way to do it is using the product attributes feature. :(
