Getting unsecure Images with https

giffini

Recommended Posts

I have recently upgraded to my own SSL and when I changed everything on the site to point to the https correctly, now i get the error that says my images are "unsecure". I am using 1and1 for the hosting, can anyone tell me what step I missed in the setup?

- The checkout works fine, so everything is configured correctly

- I just need the images to come from a https address instead of the http

This usually works on 1 and 1 hosting.

In your /catalog/includes/application_top.php find this code (around line 41)

// set the type of request (secure or not)
 $request_type = (getenv('HTTPS') == 'on') ? 'SSL' : 'NONSSL';

Change it to this:

// set the type of request (secure or not)
 $request_type = (getenv('HTTPS') == '1') ? 'SSL' : 'NONSSL';

It's a good idea to make a backup of any file before making any edits.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Well, I don't know about that, but there is a contribution that covers this subject.

:)
