Hi - in the oscommerce documentation on page 19 its says that "You need to .htaccess your catalog/admin directory so that it is password protected. You can use the password manager in your sever adminarea like cPanel" - I am unsure I my folder protected as specified, or I do not understand what is meant here. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Thanks

You need to use the controlpanel feature of your web hosting service. Ask them how to access it. Then, use the Directory Protect (or however it is called on your system) to add a username and password to your Admin directory.
