davehodg Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Running ab against the front page of my store, I'm getting two pages per second on a 600MHz Athlon. This seems a little low. Top shows me it's all happening in httpd so is suspect the PHP. Is there a way of profiling PHP? Does Zend make that much of a difference? Or caching?
davehodg Posted January 4, 2003 Author Posted January 4, 2003 OK, clean install on my RH 8.0 home machine, and I get 4.5 pages per second. Install Zend and it goes down to 4! Does anyone have a clue? Or pionters as to how I go about finding out what's going on? If it was mod_perl, I'd have a chance... :(
