Can't get rid of or edit some of the demo products

Using the Admin panel I was able to delete most of the products that had been there as demo products. However there are about 7 products that are always showing under one of my category as subcategories. i mean they show when I click on that category as subcategories. They even have nifty little icons for each of them. They also show up as new products.

I can not find them in the admin panle to delete or edit. Where, praytell, are they and how do I get them out of there?

In your Admin, try setting "Use Cache"to false (then save it) and see if they go away.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

I thought it was <Ctrl>+page refresh?

And how did you get rid of the demo products?

If you just deleted the categories without removing each individual product in the category first you may have "ghost products" in your catalog now.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

I may have indeed deleted a category without deleting the products. Oddly these 'ghost products' show up in a subcat under a category I created.

If I have ghost products, how does one 'exorcise' these products?

Try my contribution to clear down the database.

It should also clear rhe sessions table when products are deleted as removed products are referred to in customers retained carts.

It will clear all the categories, manus etc ready to start a clean shop.

Combined with the use of Easy Populate very useful when starting a site.

Mr. Walton

Where can I find your contribution? Sounds like a good solution.

Thanks

Ron
