The e-commerce.

Permissions/levels for administrator access

Recommended Posts

I am currently developing an online store using OSC 2.2 RC2a, and the main idea is that the main distributor needs to be able to manually add new sellers to the site.

These sellers need to be able to log-in to the admin area and add, edit and delete products. However, these products can only be for that particular seller, i.e. they can't edit someone else's products. I presume this could be linked through the "Manufacturers" categories in the products when the main distributor sets up the administrator accounts for the sellers (or perhaps it could just be automatic -- the seller can only edit the products they have created).

I have looked at this contribution [http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2037], but it seems to be out-of-date now, and is not compatible with the latest version of OSC.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?
