The e-commerce.

RE-Installed OSCommerce

Recommended Posts

I moved to new server, uploaded catalog and imported database. Now I get the following error:

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /blah/blah/public_html/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I tried chmod, no help. Any ideas????

Login and use the CPanel provided by your Web Host to change permissions.

FTP won't work most of the time.

Try permissions in this order until the message disappears.

Note that permissions less than 644 make the file "read only" (even to you) and you'll have to change them back to 644 to make any edits.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
