Invalid Shipper Postal Code

Guest

Recommended Posts

I keep getting Error: Invalid ShipperPostalCode when I register my name and address to test. I am from overseas but using a valid US address. Need to get this right bacause I'm wanting to use UPS freight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Did you ever find the answer to this problem, because I'm getting the same error. Where does one even enter their 'shipper postal code' into the system? It would seem logical to have this in the UPS info-edit boxes but it's not there. Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark Aman

Absolutely.

Thanks for looking at this. I've tried everything I can think of for this and I'm about to give up and do some 'Flat Rate'. But surely I'd prefer a good UPS setup if possible.

Doug,

Great suggestion and I tried replacing exactly as they suggested... replaced 'SHIPPING_ORIGIN_ZONE' with '04743' ....... tried it six times, disabling, enabling the UPS shipping option each time for the change to 'take' and no good result. Downloaded the latest ups.php from sourceforge.net...... no change. Same error. Changed that code as directed above with no result. It seemed to work for the others but it's not working here. I'm stuck and at this late hour, 'flat rates' are looking better and better. I'm giving up for tonight. If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Thanks for your help and happy Holiday!

Ryan - That's a good observation. And you know what, since I'm in Fort Kent, Maine, RIGHT on the Canadian border (I'm looking over the river at New Brunswick right now), maybe the script has an aversion to me for that very reason. (-:

Around here we have such a mentality of not being part of the U.S., that yesterday I even TRIED a different zip just on the theory that mine wouldn't be properly recognized as a U.S. zip. But, I was proven wrong and neither the Texas or the 'Southern Maine' zips that I entered worked. So, it looks like flat rates and zone rates here I come.

Best,

Mark A.

Mark, that thought did cross my mind last night. In fact I was going to suggest that you haul your computer and all down to... at least south of Bangor and try it :D It works in Newport!

Seems like there was a problem with the ups.php code around January...but since you downloaded the latest...I doubt that's an issue. If you want to e-mail me the ups.php file you're using, I'll compare it to a working one, and at least that will be eliminated. Hate to see you lose the UPS ability, but your chioce.

Is a valid zip code entered in the admin>configuration>Shipping/Packaging>Postal Code?

thanks.. that's it! I was getting the same errors.. also, whenever I do a test transaction with Authorize.net, their url "https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll" gives me this error:

An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the Merchant. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

This transaction cannot be accepted.
