The e-commerce.

Changing 'add to cart' functionality

Recommended Posts

I've posted this in the geeral section and had no joy so I'm trying it here. Here it goes...

I want to change the ‘add to shopping cart’ button on the product screen to something like ‘enquire about this item’

When the user clicks the button they get taken to the contact us screen, but I want the heading of the e-mail to contain the name of the item that they are enquiring about. From then on it’s just fill out form and send

Where do I start?

Is there a global variable that holds the name of the currently browsed item? How do I add this to the subject line of the subsequently generated e-mail? How do I add a subject line to the contact us form?

Any pointers are greatly appreciated

I'm sure there's a contrib for this, don't remember where though, just ask google, put site:addons.oscommerce.com/ then query
