Mooligan Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Im getting the message: "Warning: Installation directory exists at: /install. Please remove this directory for security reasons." So I did what it said to do and removed the directory, so why am i still getting this message :?:
smiley Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 If the directory has been removed from the server, then delete your temporary internet files. :) HTH Neil Common sense is genius dressed in working clothes. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Mooligan Posted January 1, 2003 Author Posted January 1, 2003 Didn't work, deleted all temporary internet files + cookies, still getting the message :(
smiley Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Strange, This is a simple security message. If you have deleted the install directory from your server then I would carry on and not worry about it. :o HTH Neil Common sense is genius dressed in working clothes. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Mooligan Posted January 2, 2003 Author Posted January 2, 2003 Yeah baffling, ill just set the check install to 'false' so it stops bothering me, thanks though!
Guest Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 this message is common in my experance and if you have infact deleted the file than simply open application_top.php and set define('WARN_INSTALL_EXISTENCE', 'false'); at the bottom of the page
