when i click add to cart i end up on another page where it says Update cart, checkout, and Remove all..

why not a button with "Shop some more" wich is pretty logical to me and easy ;)

There is a setting in the Admin for going to the cart after adding a new product.

If you want to add an additional button, you can always take a button from another page and modify it to work from the shopping cart page.

In the Admin is an option for: Display Cart after Adding Products

I was referring to adding a new button where osComm felt s/he needed a new button if what is there is not enough.

I know but osComm says he is getting directed to the cart but does not have the "continue shopping" button... isn't that built into OSC???

instead he has a "remove all" button... I've been looking on how to add a "remove all" to my cart... what version are you running osComm?

The function you are suggesting has been added in since the early days of 2.2. ;)
