I know it sounds like a silly question but I want to put in the the powered by oscommerce thingy and cannot for the life of me find the footer area to put in the correct code.

On my site www.bellababycakes.com.au I want to put it after bellababycakes on the bottom.

In footer.php

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<tr>

<td align="center" class="smallText"><?php echo FOOTER_TEXT_BODY; ?></td>

</tr>

</table>

In english.php

define('FOOTER_TEXT_BODY', 'Copyright © ' . date('Y') . ' <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . STORE_NAME . '</a><br>Powered by <a href="http://www.oscommerce.com" target="_blank">osCommerce</a>');

No. It's in an actual file that you'll need to open in Notepad or DreamWeaver (or some other editor).

It's in catalog/includes/footer.php

The statement is there by defaut - so you must have taken it out at some point...
