Factory Paypal vs contribution Paypal? private/ public SSL?

Hi everyone:

 

 

I am confuse about using factory Paypal vs the contribution one and which one did you use? Same for USPS?

 

 

here is what I would like to achieve:

 

I want to open an online store selling items and want my customers pay with paypal and ship with USPS.

So far, the store is up, and import data with easy populate contribution: great contribution.!!!

I have also a hosting site which has shared ssl. I used for testing but plan to use openssl. I downloaded the openssl on my xp generated my private and public key and add to paypal account, as instructed.

 

What do I do next?

 

I am confuse on why do I have to purchase an SSL certificate if the openSSL is "free"? Is there any difference in security or in performance if buying an ssl certificate?

If i use openssl, how can i provide an alternative payment other than paypal such credit card?

Using a "free" self signed ssl certificate will give browser pop-up warnings....

 

 

Using a purchased SSL certificate lets you avoid the warning pop-ups.
