germ
I'd use 644 for the permissions. I personally had an experience on a server where permissions higher than that caused an error. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. germ
Let me clarify. Folder permissions should be 755 PHP files (and most other files) should be 644 If you have a .htaccess file in your /admin folder, rename it to text.htaccess temporarily. That will at leat tell you if it is the problem. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. Guest
still cant access... Perhaps you are simply putting the wrong username and/or password in at the log in screen. What osc version did you install.

Guest
i'm using 2.2rc1 version Well, it is odd that nothing suggested by Germ worked for you. It should be that once you log in you go to index.php.
dmnalven
Are you saying that you can log in as user "Administrator"? This is an older version of osC. Was it installed for you automatically through a point and click selection at your hosting service's control panel? You may need to contact them for support or just read the installation instructions available here and install the latest version yourself. For ALL problems, please review this link first -> osCommerce Knowledge Base
