mielag
Hi all, I have recently launched an online lingerie store in Ireland and I’m looking for some feedback and suggestions? Also I was trying to ad my store to “oscommerce live stores” but without a luck. Is it because logo “powered by oscommerce” is not visible on my site? I have seen some other shops without that label so I don’t think that this is the problem? Can someone please help me on that?? Much appreciate all response Michael Lingerie at JustMe.ie

Guest
Hi all, Also I was trying to ad my store to “oscommerce live stores” but without a luck. Is it because logo “powered by oscommerce” is not visible on my site? Michael Lingerie at JustMe.ie Well, that is one reason that it is not listed in the live stores. It is also the reason why feedback won't be given here. Any stores in the live shops that do not have powered by oscommerce should be reported so that they are removed. DataMouse
No problem. Few things for me: 1. Nice looking sore. Love the logo design too. 2. There's a lot of search options (non-populated dropdowns). Maybe reduce this to just one dropdown, or one for product with a dependent one for sizing. That will free up some real estate for some more selling. 3. "Coming Soon" has only one "m" in it (http://www.justme.ie/products_new.php) 4. Compress your site (admin area, pick GZip compression). This will make it run faster. It does also mean that you won't be able to view in IE3 and some older browsers - but, if users have still got a 1996 browser, they deserve it! 5. Some of your title tags are too long. http://www.justme.ie/product_info.php?products_id=216 for example, cuts off. Not good for SEO (you're optimising for teh word "leg" n this page!) 6. Your page link in a product (lingerie link for additional detail) opens up a new browser window. I'd open in the same window and offer a "back" functionality. Other than that, i really like the site! mielag
Thanks for your comment toyicebear! :) DataMouse, Thanks for your time... really appreciate your points and suggestions. In relation to point 4 - i do have compression Gzip set up on true / level 5; cache is set on false but I presume that is correct?! point 5: Ultimate SEO URLs - would that contribution would be OK in relation to changing my title tags??? Sorry for asking all those questions but i`m a new comer and just started to learn :(
♥toyicebear
Ultimate SEO URLs do not affect your title tags only how the urls is shown/formated. The title tags is adjusted according to which metode/contribution you use for meta tags information at your site. DataMouse
It looks like you have a contribution working already. It's just checking that your text is not too long for the title - that's all. However, using that contribution (Ultimate SEO) will change your non-SEO friendly links (ones with ?in them) into a static link. Search engines like those I had a blind date last night.
