Database question

Hey all,

When making changes to my store I play with a duplicate copy of the store until I'm satisfied, then copy whichever parts I've altered over to the live site. Mostly this works really well EXCEPT that if I make changes to the products_description table (for instance, changing product names), then copy that table over to the live site, I lose track of my "Products Viewed".

Is there any way to export and import only PART of a table? I use phpMyAdmin.

Thanks a lot,

Alexander Karasulas

I would try to use the contribution Eaay Populate.

You could create a file containing just the description and model no from your test copy and use that to update your live db.

You would need to think about keeping them in sysnc to cater for additions and deletions but it should work.

Enjoy
