How to install oscommerce?

Hi,

I'm lost, as I've installed oscommerce and unzipped it but can't find anywhere to install the program as I just get a long list of files. I know you've probably heard this many times before but I'm totally new to this and have limited technical knowledge so would really appreciate if someone could enlighten me.

Thank you

Are you installing on a live server or localhost (local computer)?

If installing in localhost, do you have xampp or lamp installed?

No. osCommerce can be installed locally on your computer. You'll need xampp or lamp installed to provide the environment for osCommerce to run locally in your computer.
