Orders section

In the orders section, there is a drop down menu that list's the status of an order, I.E processing etc.

 

Is there anyway to add an extra field to this drop down menu?

if you are talking about order status in the admin, once you click on the order to edit, at the botton on the left is a drop down menu, that lets you select the status

You could, but its quicker to go to the admin site, expand 'Localization', select 'Orders Status' and add the extra status ...
