shartney Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Howdy folks. I've inherited admin duties for a store. I was left nothing more than a password and I'm a bit at a loss. All my predecessors are gone, the last one even move to China.. I'm in So.California. I think I've managed to finally get the 'send extra order email' field done right.. apparently the manual is wrong on that one. The admin email address is currently out of reach, I have no idea where this site is hosted. I suspect it's remote somewhere 'cause my IT guys can't trace the admin email address when I asked them to add myself. Tracert puts it somewhere near Los Angeles. Anyway, I'm a quick study so I should pick this up pretty quick.. just point me in the right direction. On the orders page I found a few new orders, we handled those offline. It appears like the order processing pages have the ability to process a credit card and send out email confirmations as processing steps are changed.. I'll need to learn how this credit card processor works and where a payment confirmation can be found. I'm reading here that much of the maintenance can be done via FTP type software for off-site hosting.. I'm new to that one but with your help it should be fine, right? :) I'll need to learn how to add products, images, prices etc. Just point me in the right direction.. Thanks, Steven [~Steven
