dijol Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Hi guys, I have had a client come to me with a problem They have had to move their site from a linux server, across to a windows one as they had some problems with their old host. He has his shop up and running on the windows server, but is having problems with URL rewrite and some stuff in his admin panel.. His urls are as follows; http://www.DOMAIN.com/index.php?cPath=185 But the re-written URLS are like this; http://www.DOMAIN.com/gifts-domain-185.html Does anyone know what SEO package has been added to the shop to create these more search engine friendly URLS? I noticed there are many different SEO addons available and i have no idea where to start! :D

dijol Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 Wow, thanks for the speedy reply mate! :) The re-written URL's are all the same, apart from the number.. So; http://www.DOMAIN.com/index.php?cPath=183 Becomes http://www.DOMAIN.com/gifts-domain-183.html And; http://www.DOMAIN.com/index.php?cPath=156 Becomes; http://www.DOMAIN.com/gifts-domain-156.html SO Its looking like its; 8. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)- Advanced URLs for osCommerce As all the others seem to be reletive to the product.. where all the links on my clients site are jsut fixed keywords with an alternating number at the end? Sound about right? If so, thanks for your help!
