Manufacturer and Product Name when adding products

I run a store where many manufacturers produce the same product (i.e. many farms all selling carrots). I would like to view manufacturer at the same time as the product name when adding products, so not to confuse items. Specifically I am looking for a contibution to add a manufacturer column next to the product name where products are added to catalog. I tried Admin_Categories_with_Manufacturers_Combobox_1 but only got errors.

I think there is no contribution according to your requirement but u can include this snappet of code manually and also insert a record in manufacturer tables ....

I can add the code, just not sure where to begin. Did you say you had an example ("...include this snappet of code")?
