Freedom Fighter Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 I'm want to create a link on the "What's New Here" page. I HAVE READ THE MOD GUIDE, and tried something that they supplied there but it didn't work for me. Can anyone help me with putting links on the main page? Thanks, Alex Extreme Alterations
CC Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 What is it a link for? If it is only a basic link to another page, just remember this: OSC is still incorporates HTML, so why not just hard code it? If it is dynamic you need, the just remember the main files, application top, english (in your language) the file you need to link to and where it will go. CC.
Freedom Fighter Posted December 30, 2002 Author Posted December 30, 2002 No, it will be a regular link. I know, there is nothing to coding the link. However when I do it, I get like an error message above the logo. I'm adding this link on the default.php file.. Please help me out.. Thanks, Alex Extreme Alterations
rseigel Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 If you want help you'll need to be more specific than that. What exactly is the error message you're getting. None of us can help you without that.
Freedom Fighter Posted December 30, 2002 Author Posted December 30, 2002 Well it just varies.. but what I'm doing is wanting to place a link inside a news post on the default.php page. But when I do this, it just shows like weird coding at the top of the page above our logo.. I used <tr></tr> at the start and finsh of the html code for the link.. Alex Extreme Alterations
rseigel Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 "Weird coding"??? Well then...that's easy. Just remove the part that causes the "weird coding" and you'll be all set. Seriously...we're not mind readers. You need to get a lot better at being specific if you expect help. #1) What exactly are you trying to add that causes the "weird coding"? #2) What exactly is the error you are receiving (or "weird coding" if not an actual error message). #3) Could you possibly leave it on your site long enough for someone to look at it? Do a 100% copy and paste from your site to here of both of the above and maybe someone can help you. "Weird coding" isn't gonna cut it.
Freedom Fighter Posted December 30, 2002 Author Posted December 30, 2002 Okay, let me just ask you this.. Copy and paste the html coding for adding a link on the default.php file right under the "What's New Here" message.. Extreme Alterations
