Hi all,

My partner and I recently bought a pre-made website to use as our online business. Problem is, we dont know what version of osCommerce it is, or if we can upgrade it without losing any data.

We've been reading up on how to change things on the homepage, fonts, sizes etc, and everyone refers to the file catalog/includes - which we do not have.

We want to be able to change the size and layout of the pictures on our homepage, add a link for people to sign-up (we have the login section, but no register section).

Any ideas?

Hi,

Contact your hosting company and ask them to check the version for you would be the best solution. If anything I think you can lookup in the mysql database to see which version you're running. Not sure of the specifics though.

Good luck!

You can check the version in the catalog/includes/application_top.php , catalog/ not always being called catalog, it could be your root directory or any other directory, but it does reference the direct directory that your oscommerce files are in.
