[New Site] Test needed.

Hi all

 

I posted a few weeks back about my site going live, however I had problems with the fact it would not load first time everytime.

 

So...

I have upgraded to a new snapshot, and it seems fine. (fingers crossed)

 

Could you please have a look at my site and give feedback.

We want to make it live ASAP, but I value all your opinions before we do this.

There are only 2 products to look at, as this is only a test, but you will get the idea.

I like your styles.

 

I did notice that the mouseovers on the text of the products makes the entire cell in the table jump up. I'm using IE 5.5 on a Win2k box.

thnx for that jim, I will take a look and see why that is happening.

 

Not sure why it is, but i am using ie6, so i'll test with 5.5.

Hey CC!

 

Lookin' good! You have done a wonderful job with your design...very clean and well coordinated. Loads nice and fast on my slow dial-up connection too!

 

I have one suggestion. I like the idea of the different colored "boxtops" on the shopping cart and login boxes but, the blue and the green aren't used anywhere else...What if you used a shade of the red-orange from the header background (a shade different from the buttons) for one and a different yellow for the other?

I'm sooooooo glad it actually loads first time now!

 

I have tried to use obvious colors to try and attract attention to those boxes, which I'm sure you guessed, but I will take note of your points.

I have wondered the same, but I guess the colors i chose have worked seeing as they stood out so much to you. :wink:

LOLOL...They do attract your eye....I was just left wondering where they came from....

 

If it were my site...I'd do the shopping cart box top in a dark yellow/gold and the login in the red-orange that was slightly different from the button in the box....:-)

Site looks nice....I am not sure about the forum. It's huge and have to scroll very long time to see it all.

 

and I love what you done to product view page...how you re-arraged everything nicely into tables....anyway you can share that code with us?

I am php challenged and having such a hard time changing the looks.
