I've got the right login and password and database name setup, but it keeps giving me this error: Unknown MySQL server host 'randybiehl.purehostmysql.com' (1) This is the name of the server my hosting company says the database is on as far as I can tell. llz925 Posted June 1, 2008 Author Share Posted June 1, 2008 try localhost as the servername This is what I get when I use localhost as the server name: "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)" not sure what this means....
