pixelated images upon load

I edited the default size of the product image from the tiny little image in the upper right hand side to a size that takes up the width of the middle column (like a proper product image.) The problem I'm having is that now that I've made that size change the image will appear pixelated when the page first loads. I have to refresh the page to get the image to look right. Does anyone know why it would be doing this?

Did you match the size in the Admin Panel to the actual picture size?
