Filtering products by attributes

Hello,

 

I have spent ages today trying to find a contribution which will allow me to filter products by attribute, as done in the side bar here: http://www.magpiejewellers.co.uk/modules/shop/ .

This shop seems to be based on xoops, but I was hoping the same could be done to a normal version of osc.

 

Does anyone know of a plugin which will allow me to filter products in this manner, or offer advice on how I might go about writting one from scratch?
