Guest
I just completed copying an installation of OSCommerce from one server to another, and the store seems to be doing well (I haven't transferred the domain yet), but when I try the catalog/admin/ and type in my password, it gives me an error that the password is incorrect. Is it possible, that by copying directly, I missed copying the password because it's somewhere else? I know that the most effective fix would be to do a clean install, and then import all the data from the first server, but I would like to know if there's anything that works quicker. germ
If it's protected by a .htaccess file, the quickest would be to delete it and recreate it. Beyond that (if it's stored in the database) I don't know. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
