caniol
Can someone point me to some detailed instructions on setting up OSC email using SMTP? The instructions in the OSC documentation leave a lot to be desired. Thanks.

caniol
Use "Sendmail" with "Line Feed" (LF) as your options in osCommerce admin. Vger Yes, but I was under the impression, that if OSC was on a Windows server, that I had to use SMTP. Also, there must be more to setting up email than what's in the admin console. How does OSC know how to connect with the email server?

c_thomas
I got it working! Er.... would you like to share how you got it working? As the say, the docs on this area are non-existant really. I'm goint to host on a Linux server, I'm testing on a Virtual machine install of SUSE 10.2. Pretty new to Sendmail and all, so some details on how osC and Sendmail hook up would be really usefull. Cheers CT
♥Vger
so some details on how osC and Sendmail hook up would be really usefull Sendmail shoudl be part of the PHP install, and so be available to use in any programme that uses PHP. No need for you to do anything or configure anything - just stick with the default osCommerce settings. Vger
