Hi to all.

I just finished to install de Oscommerce included in the pack offered by my hosting service (A kind of autoinstall from the hosting administration page) It's a virtual server VPS running in Linux.

But the index.php page shows the message:

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

What I should to do? I see the .htaccess but what I should to do with it?

I have another site in the same hosting company (but in Windows server) and Oscommerce runs ok.

As this is your own Virtual Private Server you can turn on Register Globals in the main php.ini file. Don't ask where to find that file, as it will be in a different place on each server.

Great!! Thanks.

In my php info page I'm seeing a path: /home/cine/etc/php.ini. But I can't access to it by FTP. Is there another way to access it?

Thanks Again!

You can create a new php.ini and place it in root folder using FTP.

Else contact hosting company to modify the setting for you.

Thx

Best Regards,
Gaurav
