pulldown / dropdown menu for Product listing for different size display

Have a business reason to display products that belong to a category in the form of a dropdown box with number of different sizes although the picture and decription is same for all the sizes, when a perticular category is clicked.

 

1. For an example, assume category A = Product A but has different sizes such as 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and so on...
   
2. Display an image and product description with a dropdown box populated with a list/array of values for the varied sizes for that category/product
   
3. If the user selects the required size, it should be selected and added to the shopping cart along with the selected product size.
   
4. Not sure, if it helpful, anyways, have installed STS module on my generic osc rc2.2 version otherwise, mostly it is a very generic OSC website.
   
5. Need to display in the main section and not in left/right info boxes as neither of the boxes exist in my website.
   

 

Is it doable ? Any help or suggestions to get started is really appreciated and if I am successful, would publish it to the commuity as well. Please advice.
