Category Box Enhancement

Hello,

 

I have looked for the contribution thread but had no luck so thought i would post up here,

 

this is the contribution,

it all works fine but when you add a new catogory it will add the wrong bullet to the catogory name,

 

I have made a lot of changes to the file but even with a clean file the issue still exists,

 

here is the original version,

the 2 images used are at line 34 and called

I just installed this yesterday. I think what it is doing is it is highlighting the new category, but not sure about that.

Please note the highlighted area..... re read the contribution information. It adds a blue image to categories with sub-categories, and a light blue for categories without any sub-categories.

This contribution is supposed to improve the look and feel of the categories box, improve navigation and help users to keep their bearings on the site.

[color="#FF0000"][size=6]1. It will add a small image ('bullet') to the left of every category in the category box.
There are two different images, one for categories that have subcategories, one for those that don't.[/size][/color]

2. It will get rid of the funny-looking ASCII-arrow ( -> ) that used to indicate categories containing subcategories.

3. It will highlight the current category in the box. Users will have an easier time telling where they are on the site.

Has anyone figured out a way to add dynamic alt text to the pointer images? I see how to make them all just the same but i want the alt text to have the category name text in it. Has anyone done that yet?
