joesixpack Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Is it correct that instead of creating thumbnails and large images osC scales a single image using HTML width and height atributes in the IMG tag, thereby distorting the image when it's used as a thumbnail? Is it also correct that all images get uploaded to the images folder even if a current product image is in a different folder? ---- I want to: 1) Put images for manufacturers in separate folders (and preferably subfolders) 2) Update images using the osC interface and have the new images end up in the correct folder 4) Have different size images created for thumbnails and enlargements 5) Eliminate distortion in thumbnails I see there are dozens of add-ons to handle images. Any recommendations?
spooks Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Yes ocs just uses html resize, if you set only one of each dimension in admin you can stop the distortion. The rest is possible if you care to write the code. Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it.
