jediflash Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I am new to Oscommerce but have really enjoyed it so far. It worked really well considering I really don't understand everything I'm doing, just following instructions. :) A problem started about two weeks ago in that when someone buys something through the cart, uses PayPal, then the notice comes to our mail box. The total purchase price is in there but there is no description of what was bought or how many. I have looked at all the settings I know to look at and they all look fine. I'm not sure what would control this or why it would start all the sudden. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
web-project Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 which PayPal contribution do you use? Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
xmitman Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm having the same problem. The only thing that comes through on the Paypal payment is the website address, not what was ordered. How can I change this? I'm using osCommerce 2.2-MS2.
jediflash Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 I'm using what came with OSC. It's the one labeled simply 'PayPal' not "PayPal IPN."
jediflash Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 Would it possibly work better if I used PayPal IPN or PayPal WPP instead of the default PayPal module? I've not looked at either and don't know if they would work for my application. Any direction would be great.
