elewis33 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 When I installed osCommerce from my hosting sites control panel it told me that I needed to run PHP 4.4.7 and that I would need to uninstall PHP5, install PHP4 (4.4.7) and then install osCommerce. This seems to be contradictory to what I've been reading here on the forums. Is my hosting company protecting me from myself by imposing this constraint, or are they out of touch with the current requirements of osCommerce. BTW, they installed osCommerce 2.2.060817 when I ran the installation. Earl
spooks Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I am running OSC on the latest version of PHP, which is always the best way, so I don`t know what there on about. I`ve also heard that the next release of osc will drop all support for php4 due to imminent release of php6. Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. Or even install the current release from the Solutions / Downloads section.
