How Do I Switch OSC to Go Live?

Guest

Recommended Posts

Currently my fully designed and tested osc is under www.mywebsitename/catalog. How do I switch it on so it appears at the root level of www.mywebsitename?

I also have my old web site running there right now, will I only have to delete the current index.html file for it?

move to root of your domain folder (usually public_html) & don't forget to update the paths in the configure.php files.

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

I'm not sure I follow. Which files do I move to the root? Everything inside the catalog folder?

How many different files will I have to ammend to get it working okay?
