Where to paste "Paypal Website standard" button code

Recommended Posts

sorry, i just can't seem to figure out where to paste the code generated by paypal for any given "Buy now" button - paypal's site just says "paste the button code into your website" but not where to put it or into what file. i have the oscom site setup for paypal website standard but still not sure how to put this all together. searched this forum and others but not really sure what to do at this stage- it seems like there's one of two ways to integrate this? any help appreciated

thanks- when i try to buy something using the button built-in, it takes me to the paypal account login at the paypal site- it sits waiting for the paypal admin login - was i supposed to enter a key or id in the module setup to have it go straight to the paypal cart? do all the fields in the oscommerce module setup for paypal standard need to be filled?

hi maureen- i never did find the right spot to put it- i ended up using the Paypal module. you would think that bit of info about where exactly to paste the paypal generated button code would be easily found here- but i never did. if i remember right, i left off thinking that i'd find the name of the existing button gif, and then use windows search for all files 'containing text' of the gif filename in my local drive copy of the site files- never did get that far though, good luck..

hi frank,

well after reading for what seems like days on end i have not discovered that you dont' need to download the buttons, osc comes with it's own buttons.. what the heck..i'll just use those ones.. *smile*

thanks for responding.
