InfoBox Admin problems

Recommended Posts

This is my first post at the forums and I have only recently, four days ago, delved into the world of php and oscommerce. I am coming from another ecommerce solution provider and I must say that I love osCommerece!

My question is about the InfoBox Admin contribution. It says to "Run the included box_selection.sql on your catalog database." I had no idea what this was or how to do it so I researched here on the forums and I found the phpMyAdmin from my provider and tried to both copy the file and to import the file to the database but each attempt returns this error:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds
to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '',
 `configuratio

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Perhaps my database isn't set up correctly? I have successfully set up Header Tags SEO, Ultimate SEO URL's, and Detailed Reports contributions. Could these be prohibiting the installation?

Thanks,

DimeNote

This is the procedure:

Log into your site cpanel, click on phpMyAdmin, if your database doesnt come up automatically, select it, click on any item in the dBase, say address_book

then click on SQL, past the query provided into the box, removing whats there by default, click on GO, you should get confirmation that everything was processed

OK.

Thanks for the reply however I have done this, step by step, and am still receiving an error message. Are there any other options?

Thanks again,
