Measha06 Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 I have just been building a new site but no matter how I try it is showing the wrong prices! I have input European VAT at 17.5% now if show prices with tax is set to true the incorrect price is shown for example a product at £1.38 plus VAT is showing at £1.39 when in actual fact it should show at £1.62. If you mark it as false to show with tax then it shows the price as £1.18 which is actually £1.38 less 17.5%. Yet in the catalog when entering prices net price is £1.38 Gross Price is £1.62. Guest Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Hi It looks like the price that is put in the admin new products page as if you had 1.38 in 1 box and had 1.386 in the 2 box you would get £1.38 plus VAT is showing at £1.39 and as £1.18 which is actually £1.38 less 17.5% is due to the 1.386 in the 2 box Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks If you go into your admin panel and look in localisation you will find tax zones but you also have to alter other areas as well if you want more than one tax zone. I have one set at all the european countries and a second zone set at all the countries outside europe. Then the appropriate people get charged VAT.
