WEBSITE ISSUE: NEW ITEMS section!

I wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix this issue with the website or know how to correct it? On the NEW ITEMS section, should the items drop off NEW ITEMS section after 30 days or something or anyway you can take them out of NEW ITEMS SECTION after they been there? Does it do this after certain period of time automatically??? My website has been running since end of Febuary 2008 and now it's MAY 26th 2008 and all items I have listed show up in NEW ITEMS SECTION still today? Anyone know how to correct this???
