thumb Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 kylewa, Did you ever get it to work yet? I am having the same problems. All other transactions work fine with emails and invoices except PayPal. All I get is that the payment goes through but no record of what was ordered anywhere. I have to call or email the customer to ask what they ordered.
Craft_Shop_Girl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hello, You fix this in your Paypal account page. There is an autoreturn setting that must be active. Once the client finish the payment transaction Paypal will send the customer back to your store and the order is completed on your shop.
tribalismo Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hello, I have a similar problem, but it also occurs when the customer pays using credit card. You fix this in your Paypal account page. There is an autoreturn setting that must be active. Once the client finish the payment transaction Paypal will send the customer back to your store and the order is completed on your shop. After the payment is made, the customer returns to my store, but still no notification for me. The cart is also filled with the products that the customer has paied for, while it should be empty. still looking for help myself, regards
swekarl Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I'm having the same problem, using the Dibs payment module for credit cards. But it only occurs sometimes, one in ten orders maybe, despite all pay through Dibs. Very annoying to get a payment but not knowing from who, since there's no record in the shop - so far I've managed to find the customer by browsing my customer list, but that becomes harder the more customers I get (and I haven't figured out how to sort the customer list after the date they registered - tips welcome). I located the problem to be (I think) that the pop-up blocker in IE7 (or similar) hinders the browser to come back to my osCommerce shop after the payment has been made at Dibs. Not knowing a way around it, I've simply added a note in the check-out process, telling IE7 users to disable pop-up blocking for the rest of the ordering process, and to immediately e-mail me if they aren't sent back to my shop after the payment.
Trentide Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 What's happening is that the customer is being taken to the Paypal site and is paying, but not coming back to your site to finish the transaction. What I did, as a sort of workaround, is to put some text on the checkout page that says something to the effect, "After paying at Paypal be sure and continue on to "website-name" to finish the transaction. This happens to me about 1 in 10 also. And that's the reason. I'm going to try Craft Shop Girls advice. Hope this helps, Jason
Guest Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Hello, You fix this in your Paypal account page. There is an autoreturn setting that must be active. Once the client finish the payment transaction Paypal will send the customer back to your store and the order is completed on your shop. What is the return landing page are you using? As I am having the same problem and do have auto return set, but not sure if I have the correct return page maybe...
