spipe Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I have installed this script a few times and let me say it has the worst install script i have seen EVER i mean come on you couldn't spend some extra time to make the config file or files a bit easier to manipulate? I mean there isnt even a passworded admin area what did you limp it on the most critical area? Seems like this script could be thought out a bit better no wonder not many use it. I just worked on this for a friend but now i am directing him to a better script. Good luck on this junker.
germ Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 make the config file or files a bit easier to manipulate? Do the words "text editor" mean anything to you? I mean there isnt even a passworded admin area If you use the latest version, you get that "free of charge". not many use it You missed the target completely on that one. Good luck on this junker. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. After all, opinions are like an anus. Everyone has one, and some of them stink. Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.... Hmm...I'd say that maybe installing server side scripts is a little out of your league? Don't take this as insulting (not the intent here), just that you might want to try following the installation instructions very closely as with any script. The entire script can be installed in less than 5 minutes. You will need to have the following skills (minimal): Knowledge in PHP Knowledge in phpMyAdmin (optional) Knowledge in FTP and an FTP Client Knowledge in MySQL Other experience is helpful such as installation of server-side scripts, HTML, CSS, etc. Bill Kellum Sounds Good Productions STS Tutorials & more: STSv4.6, STS Add-ons (STS Power Pack), STS V4 Forum STS Forum FREE TEMPLATE
