Haywyre Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 I have images that are all different proportions. Which image sizing contibution works best to reduce the image size, but keep the same proportions? Quote
radders Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 It probably depends what you want to achieve. Do you want them all to fit with the same overall dimensions (box) in which case you can choose a contribution that automatically does the resizing after uploading. Would you rather have more control over the resizing? In which case you can resize the images offline using an image manipulating package and use a different contribution. Quote
Haywyre Posted December 30, 2002 Author Posted December 30, 2002 I'm not worried about the size, I'm worried about the proportions. Not all my images fit it the same rectagular box. Some are longer, some are taller. Quote
radders Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 Either sort of contribution can handle and maintain different proportions. Take a look at my site to see what I mean. The video cd and video tapes have different proportions but can still be resized on-line. Quote
TB Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Is there a contribution that enables the resizing of GIF's (opaque & transparent) also. From what I can gather the resizing of GIF's feature has been taking out of the PHP code... is there some way this can be added as an osCommerce code since I don't run my own server? radders Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Maybe the netpbm contribution, but I don't know if anyone has managed to get it working recently. Gif was removed for licensing reasons so only old versions of gd support it. Quote
