Hello

My name is Michelle and I own Michellescutombabydollbodysgop.com and my computer crashed Monday and I lost everything on my hard drive.

I had in my favorites or bookmarked my website info which i have since recovered but i lost my bookmark to the oscommerce user name and password. can anyone tell me how i can get them retrieved. I tried through my hosting site but no avail. any help would be greatly appreicated.

I know i should have wrote all the info down. But i didn't ever count on my laptop being dropped by my son.

Thanks in advance

Michelle

You have rc2 or oscommerce admin that was password protected by .htaccess.

If .htaccess was used then You can ask Your hosting company to help else You need to modify the row in db that has user anme and password.

Can't Oscommerce just send me my user name and password seems that would easier for me to understand.

no, it doesn't work that way. your password goes through a one-way encryption before it's stored in the database. it can't be reversed into the original password. its safer that way. if someone hacks your site, they don't get all the passwords.
