Removing everything behind the .php

Hi all

 

Have a quick question:

 

I want to have the session ID removed from the URL adres bar, but how do I do this, and how is this called? (Because if I know how its called I would have looked using the search function).

IMO is it way more professional looking and for some reason safer.
