Canadian TAx Help, each product has diff tax help please

Hello I have been configuring the osCommerce for the past weeks to get ready for our live shop opening.

The shop is a nutrition shop in Canada. And we have a huge problem..

We want to display this on each total after the checkout:

Sub-total :

GST (7%) :

PST (8%) :

Total:

I suppose I could use the canadian tax hack but there is a major complication.

Because these are sumplements they are considered food products and some do not get charged PST tax on. We do have some books and such which we have to charge the PST tax. Also depending on the flavour each product either has both tax rates or only one or none.

We have this set up right now: Under TAx RAtes:

Priority Tax Class Zone Tax Rate

1 GST Canada 7%

1 GST, PST Canada 15%

1 PST Canada 8%

This allows us to select which product has which tax. Everything is calcluated correctly and everything is done nicelty.

The major problem is on the invoice and on the checkout we want it to seperate into:

Sub-total:

GST:

PST:

Total:

While right now it only shows:

Sub-total:

Tax:

Total:

I have tried every method to calculate it seperately and show it at the end but this is imposible because one of the groups is called (PST,GST) which is both of them joint together. And there is no algorithm that I can possibly write to calculate and split this to print the total tax seperated.

I hope you understand what I wrote.

What should I do? I am hoping there is an easy way to fix this little problem.

Please help any advice is apreciated.

Thank You

Use Seperate Tax contribution....check it out at my site

http://www.movion.com/catalog/default.php

It's displays GST and PST seperately.

Also you can create two seperate tax zone so you can apply zone with both GST and PST to some products and you can apply zone with just PST on some products.

Hope it helps...search the forum for "Canadian Tax" and you will find threads with instruction on how to set it up.

Outstanding work Kevin,

If possible, would you send me the tax and shipping modules you used in the demo store. I'm having a hard time configuring the taxes probably and can't get the canada post module work either

my e-mail is [email protected]

I need to know how did you change the store front interface, which addons and contributions you used.

Thanks in advance.
